Yuxiang(Jim) Liu is currently a Crescent School student in Grade 12.

As an optimistic young man, Jim always has an eye for the right and sees the good out of what he encounters. He loves to smile and is friendly and sympathetic. He enjoys helping anyone in need. He is responsible and cooperative while taking any task and always goes beyond people’s expectations. 

Yuxiang(Jim) Liu also enriches his life with a wide variety of extracurricular activities. In CYFA, Jim hopes to meet other students from the community and lead them towards a beneficial platform that will have a positive impact on their way to success.

Xuran (Ryan) Tian

Ryan Tian is a senior student currently attending Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario.

He is a self-motivated student with outstanding leadership. Taking advantages of his academic achievement at school, Ryan founded an interactive English club for students, adults and English teachers who are non-native speakers.  The club was a great success, which inspirited Ryan to keep delegating himself to the communities and giving back to the society.

Through the deep involvement in Canadian Youth Funding Association, Ryan hopes he can motivate more youth to contribute to their community. He will in charge of organizing of large and influential artistic performance events, music festivals, etc.

Yue (Susan) Lan

Yue (Susan) Lan is a grade 12 student in Jaya International High School in Mississauga. In school, she is a cheerful and steady student who is the teacher’s assistant in class and offer additional homework help to students in need. Outside of school, Susan is energetic, enthusiasm and sincerity. She is very serious and responsible at work and able to work hard. She has strong organizational and teamwork spirit, with strong adaptability and discipline. Susan is a very responsible person, she is good at communication with strong organizational skills and team spirit. Susan is also involved in different volunteer organizations like the SickKids. During leisure time, Susan enjoyed playing Guzheng which is a Chinese traditional instrument. She has great experience playing Guzheng in different events like the foundation concert for sick kids, nursing home visiting, and chinese instrument concert etc. Susan is also very interested in business, she is involved in Deca and done a great job in the provincial contest. She also self study few AP courses which shows her great quality in self-study.

Jiaqi (Sukey) Feng is a senior at Ashbury College, an international school based in Ottawa, Ontario. 

As a detail-oriented perfectionist who values quality over quantity, Sukey sets realistic goals in the completion of her work in order to meet short deadlines. In addition, being a critical thinker further allows her to thoroughly weigh the advantages and disadvantages of a decision, making her an all-rounded and efficient worker — these skills being especially important when it came to the International Baccalaureate courses she had chosen to take for her junior and senior years in school.  

Besides pilates and skiing, Sukey has also been playing the violin for eight years and has been involved in CVSC from the age of twelve, a community engagement string orchestra which plays for seniors at retirement homes. Moving forward, she hopes to volunteer for a wider variety of organizations and bring about greater positive change in society.

Meifeng (Eric) Wu is a grade 12 student at Bayview Secondary School.
Eric differentiates himself among his peers with his profound maturity and ambition. His passion drives his actions, whether based on academic or non-academic pursuits. However, it is his compassion for others that makes him a special person, one that members of CYFA have witnessed. 
Within his school community, Eric is the founder and president of the Bayview Psychology Club and inspired many students to develop an interest in the applications of behavioural psychology in user interface designs. At CYFA, Eric applies his previous experiences as a charismatic leader and gifted orator to his contributions to many of our events, including being the MC of the “children’s spring talent show.”
Yilin Lu

Yilin Lu is a grade 11 student currently attending school at Havergal College in Toronto, Ontario.

Yilin is ambitious and passionate, which is demonstrated through both her academic and extracurricular achievements. Being involved in various aspects of her school, Yilin holds the position as head of spanish club, where she inspires many students to immerse themselves in a new culture. Outside of school, Yilin is a competitive fencer who was selected to be part of the Canadian junior sabre team this season, achieving outstanding results in many internationals competitions. Besides fencing, Yilin’s hobbies include playing piano, where she has passed RCM level 10 with first class honours.

At CYFA, Yilin applies her skills in leadership and communication to help provide students with a platform where they can develop their own skill sets and share their unique ideas. In the past, Yilin has contributed to various events, including being an MC at the 2018 Respon Charity Banquet.

XingYao (York) Wang is a grade 12 student from Elgin Park Secondary in Surrey.

Whether it’s running the breakdance club or participating in many other club activities, York always brings new interesting ways to upgrade the crude base idea into a well rounded finished product. No matter how much pressure he is placed under, he will perform to the best of his abilities and aid others around him. When he  was in the process of learning Micro and Macro economics, he quickly understood the learning material and proceeded to find simpler ways to convey the difficult information. By breaking down complex concepts into clear and concise learning points, he was able to aid many of his peers and helped them achieve their dream results.

Zekai (Frank) Lin is a Gr.12 student at Lord Byng Secondary school, enrolled in the Byng Arts Mini Program.

As a responsible teenager, Frank has demonstrated extreme determination in working together and taking care of the underserved population in his community. He is also outstanding for both his academic and extracurricular involvement. He is ambitious but not pretentious, self-affecting yet confident, and delightfully irreverent but appropriately respectful. He is fully capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to and will contribute positively to whatever it may be. Without a doubt, he will make a significant positive impact on the people he encounters through the course of his life and brings changes to the world. In his scarce free time, he is interested in economics and reads, writes, and builds plastic models.

Zhe(Will)Wang is a student who studying grade 10 in Colonel Gray high school.

He joined a lots of clubs in school, and he like doing sports, he join the golfing tournament in the high school, and he also join the basketball team and badminton team. He really like to join the activities in the respon, and also he got Canada youth funding Association Volunteer service award in January 28, 2017, for outstanding efforts in volunteer service. In the Aug 26, 2016 he join the first Teen Business Competition and won first place. And in the 2017, he became a vice president for CYFA, as the time he make a goal is that he will try his best to work hard as he possible for CYFA group, and lead PEI teenager forward.
