Hi, I’m Jessica Li, I’m a Grade 11 student at Point Grey Secondary.

I’ve had a very interesting path of growth through my involvement with CYFA. To start with, I grew up somewhat like I was in other people’s shadows, because I felt so self-conscious and unconfident. But growing up like this is pretty stressful, and I often found myself having trouble going through certain obstacles…that is, until I joined CYFA.

I joined this club around 2016-2017. I discovered that club participation brought me great experiences that vastly improved my confidence and my ability to speak in front of the public. Through CYFA, I also made many new friends who inspired me to become who I am today.

Now I’m a senior, regularly involved in the drama program at my school, pursuing my academic subjects and extracurricular activities with an ongoing enthusiasm and determination.

Clubs like CYFA inspire me to become my best, and to contribute to my community meaningfully. thoroughly enjoy the events we host. CYFA is an invaluable element in my life as a student.
